Eggbert - thanks very much. Haven't seen those goals since the day.

Think that was our 5th win in a row, having won all games at the start of the season. Of course, that was as good as it got.

Early /mid 80's home game against Coventry, early season. 2 - 0 down and Tonka had a penalty saved in the 1st 15 minutes. Won 5 - 2, with Steve Whitton scoring an absolute screamer.

Leicester city 1975, 3 down at half time drew 3 all, Bonds volley, Lampard free kick and Pat Holland diving header last seconds, fantastic. First away game for me, never forget it

Re: Was that the best West Ham comeback you have ever seen?
Not sure if classified as a come back, but the semi against Everton at Villa Park in '80, then the replay at Leeds was like a comeback for me at the time.

The one on Saturday was equally as good for a different reason - it just looks like we're very close to being a contender now, I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.

I'd love us to win the cup, but personally top 5 now would be a bigger achievement I think simply because it would put a seal on our season and rank us as, like I said, contenders.

Man U will be a tough ask, but there's no reason at all why we won't do it. The Liverpool tie works in our favour.

Beating Chelsea at home 5-3 in 86. 1-0 down then 2-1 up then Chelsea go 3-2 up.then we smashed them. West side lower for that one, great day. Fairly decent comeback.

Not so much a comeback but 2004 playoff semi v Ipswich losing first leg one nil at their gaff

Second leg will live long in the memory

Can't really argue with the Den Haag games however in 1981 we cam back from 2-0 down to beat Stoke City 3-2 with 3 second half goals....

I seem to recall we were 4-2 down from the1st leg vs Den Haag but won the 2nd leg 3-1 at the Boleyn (I travelled a round trip of 500+ miles to be at the 2nd leg, another very special night at the Boleyn!

As for West Ham comebacks, there are not that many that come to mind (plenty of times where we've lost from a 2 or 3 goal lead)

I can remember going to a match vs Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park years ago

We were something like 4-0 down at half time. We came storming back in the 2nd half though~ only to lose 5-4!

Farking ell!
You went to bed at 3:15 rather than 4?
That's like leaving a home game early to catch a bus.
If you're paying for Foxtel and you don't watch every minute live you run the risk of missing our best comeback in a very long time (and the associated excitement) for what?
An extra 45minutes in bed?
FFS man, get with the programme......

That was only the 2nd game I went to, and my 1st on the North Bank. My 1st being Brighton at home, on the West Stand, after being misinformed by a fellow black Leatherhead Hammer that you need to get a ticket in advance to stand on the terraces.
I remember Keen coming on and a bloke in front of me saying "oh no, not weasel" But our Kevin changed the game.

WHAT A FUCKING GAME!!!!

Re: Was that the best West Ham comeback you have ever seen?
Chigwell, Up until yesterday that was my favourite comeback. Keen was incredible down the right. Dowie just seemed to hang in the air for his goal. McAvennie grabbed our first if I remember rightly. Thought it was Foster who scored the winner though. It was the first time I'd seen grown men hug each other in the North Bank.

Mugging Everton in the manner we did yesterday though eclips that game. They had that nasty bugger McCarthy on the pitch, Roberto "I'm so glad we let West Ham sign that player" Martinez deluding himself, their fans' arrogance and all the bad luck we've had against them - to rip them apart in 12 minutes at the end is just perfect.

What Mad Dog said.

One of the poorest performances I've seen away from home. Two late goals. Three points and on our toes away from the Birmingham mob baying for our blood.

Chigwell 5:20 .dowie got the winner with a brilliant header.

By far the best in my long years. I can think of plenty of collapses in the last 10 mins of a game, so another great day. This is a season to remember and it might get better still.

Re: Was that the best West Ham comeback you have ever seen?
That's what I said. Kenny brown and bish.

Colin foster went up front and everyone was so confused they let 2 goals in.

Yes there was a lot of trouble outside. I was only 16, 1 month shy of 17, at the time (but looked about 13) and I thought I was going to get a fucking kicking. They done one of the coaches with bricks.

Still remember the euphoria of the 2nd goal. Some guy was hanging upside down from one of the beams from the stand. The brummies went nuts.

The best comeback to win away from home probably yes, considering how rarely we get anything there.

It's up there with the Bradford game, that was the rabies the game I've ever witnessed.

Best comeback I've seen. 2 down with an Everton penalty to come, outplayed up that point and I went to bed , fucking pissed off.( it was approx 3.15am Sydney time)

I got up 3 hours later as I couldn't sleep and watched the recording of our amazing win. Awesome result and more than a little luck.
